High Holy Day Classroom Educator

Location: Hinenu at Homewood Friends, 3107 N Charles Street
Time: 9:30-1:00pm, September 12, 9:30am -1pm Sept 21st.
Pay: $35/hour. This will include instruction and prep/clean-up time, and 1 hour of at-home preparation.
Hinenu will welcome over 200 members and guests to our home at Homewood Friends in Charles Village, Baltimore. Youth educators provide joyful and engaging instruction to the children of the Hinenu community ages 6-13 over the High Holy Days. Educators will:
Understand the content of each lesson; read or review the lesson plan as well as the “Background or Adult Readings” at the end of lesson overviews.
Help set up class at least a half hour before class formally begins and leave following clean up. *This sometimes involves moving folding tables and chairs and bringing them up or down stairs.
Facilitate lessons by:
Preparing or distributing materials and setting up the space.
Assisting children with projects and activities.
Monitoring small-group work or facilitating small-group discussions.
Asking children thoughtful questions or prompting them to think further about their responses.
Supporting children who need to use the bathroom or take breaks from class
Supporting lead teacher in classroom management
Supervise outdoor play time, likely by crossing the street with parent supervision and playing in Wyman Park Dell.
Know the names, pronouns and any specific needs of all of the children in the program.
Help ensure that all children are signed in and out by a primary caregiver, or adult on their approved pick-up list.
Help ensure that all children are safe and accounted for at all times.

Time: 6pm-9pm Sept 11, 9:30-1:00pm, September 12, 6pm-9pm Sept 20th, and 9:30-1pm Sept 21st
Pay: $30/hour. This will include prep/clean-up time.
Hinenu will welcome over 200 members and guests to our home at Homewood Friends in Charles Village, Baltimore. Child care workers play with and look after children ages 3-5 on Rosh HaShanah morning and Yom Kippur morning. Care providers will:
